The Farmer Supply Network

The Supply Network is designed to effectively match supply of merino wool from responsibly managed farms with demand orders from individual retail brands and spinners wanting fully traceable supply.

Growers who have completed the registration / certification process and maintain a current  forecast of their production become a  NewMerino® Preferred Producer.

When facilitating supply we first refer to this category with the goal of matching growers shearing times with the processing lead times required to meet delivery deadlines for finished garments.

Consignments supplied in this manner are fully traceable from the supplying farms through to spinning.

Farmer Declaration: After you have Registered, completed the Farm Fact Sheet and Mob forecasts you will be emailed a Farmer Declaration form for completion and signing. The purpose of this form is to confirm the authenticity of your registration.

Once the declaration  has been completed, scanned and returned to NewMerino® you will  become a Registered Merino Grower and receive a certificate valid for the next twelve months. During this period you will be eligible to contribute supply wool to our verified and fully traceable consignments

On-Farm Audit: During the first 12 months, we will arrange a on-farm audit. On completion of a satisfactory audit a certificate will be issued covering the next two years.

Certification

To be able to supply retail brands on an ongoing basis and be listed as a Preferred Producer, your farm will need to become fully certified.

This simply involves an on-farm visit to confirm that all elements of you merino enterprise is operating in accordance with the standards and the declaration you have given. You can view these standards here Standards .

The audit can take place any time in the 24 months following registration and NewMerino® will contact you to make arrangements for this to take place.

If the forecast of your production matches the timing and specifications of orders we may have received the audit will be carried out promptly to maintain your ability to supply.
