Each supplier of wool to the NewMerino® ‘chain of custody’ is known to the supply chain manager, and must qualify as a ‘preferred producer’. To achieve the status of ‘preferred producer’ each farm must have a ‘farm profile’ document along with a plan of production capacity and an outline of the sheep management system.. The ‘farm profile’ is also an integral component of the trace back system.
