Non-mulesed wool supply

 

The NewMerino® ‘chain of custody’ specialises in supplying wool certified as non-mulesed.

Certified ‘non-mulesed’ merino wool comes from NewMerino® ‘preferred producers’ who have ceased the practice of surgical mulesing on their property, or from mobs of sheep that have never been mulesed. These producers sign declarations and are known to the NewMerino® supply manager.

Audit: These producers are subject to audit by NewMerino® using a qualified veterinarian and / or by the AWEX  National Wool Declaration audit system.

Brands buying certified non-mulesed NewMerino® wool will be able to identify the growers who are responsible for producing this wool via the NewMerino® traceback system.
