NewMerino® is a branded merino fibre supply providing full supply chain transparency.

It is supplied through a ‘one to one’ transaction system. The system provides a ‘chain of custody’ between professional wool growers and the end users of Australian merino wool.

 

  

NewMerino® is a specialized tightly linked supply chain which maintains the integrity of the original farm quality along the processing chain and in a transparent manner.

NewMerino® operates a certification program which ensures that wool is sourced directly from growers, has known and documented attributes and meets stated standards for technical performance as well as land management and animal welfare.

NewMerino® provides a free flow of information in both directions with the goal of users having confidence about the integrity of the product. The key attributes of the fibre are maintained throughout the flow of processing.

NewMerino® only supplies wool from known and trusted professional wool growers, and those participating in this program are known as ‘Preferred Producers’.

The traditional auction / trading system is a commodity or ‘one-to-many’ system which by its very nature disconnects farmers from the supply chain at the first point of entry preventing traceability and certification.
